Veronica Kim Hotton (veronicahotton.com) is an Instructor at Portland State University in the interdisciplinary general education program University Studies. She completed her Ph.D. in Education at Simon Fraser University (Canada) and an M.A. in Geography at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. At Central Michigan University, she completed a B.S. in Environmental Studies and Music, and a B.M. in Orchestral Instruments. She writes poems and adopts—or gets adopted by—cats.
