Susan Zeni lived in the East Village, Chinatown, and Harlem for five years; Seattle for ten; and recently retired from teaching community college in Minneapolis. Publications/honors include: a Lucille Medwick Award for a poem with an humanitarian theme, “Black Angel,” in the New York Quarterly; a Seattle Weekly “Portrait of Ralph and Mary” about a couple removed from the Second Avenue Hotel by the Seattle Art Museum; recent poems “Social Distance” appearing in Poetry in the Time of Coronavirus and “Thin Spun Thread” in the Windfall Journal. Precovid, Susan got her kicks playing accordion with the Polkastra and the Tsatskelehs.
